I thought it would be fun to add a little something to our Christmas cards this year. I always just send the cards and drop a couple pictures of the kids in them.
I was looking at the Michael’s sale ad yesterday and saw that they had all of their christmas foam kits on sale. I went into to Michael’s to pick up some cake pop supplies and picked up a Creatology Foam Activity Kit. It makes 24 frame ornaments – 8 snowman, 8 penguin, and 8 polar bears. I thought these were super cute and it would make the pictures I put in the Christmas cards a little more fun.
I wanted to add a little more decoration to these frames so I also picked up a pack of assorted glitter. Who doesn’t love sparkly things?

Lay some newspaper down since glitter is messy and a pain to clean up.
I added glitter to the hats, mittens, arms, feet, and noses on the frames.
Apply a thin layer of craft glue with a small paint brush. Shake glitter over glue. Shake excess glitter off and let glitter dry (about an hour or two).
Once the glitter is dry then you can assemble the frames.
Here is my final product:
Cute… Right? And Sparkly! Now I just need some new pics of the kids to add to these!
These frames came with no instructions, but it was easy to put them together just from looking at the box. They are a little flimsy since they are made of foam, but they make a fun art project with your kids.

I did this with my grand-daughter this past year, as her Christmas card/gift to her Mom, Aunts and great Grandparents.
