Kernel Season’s was created in a college dorm room when Brian (the founder) wanted to spice up his popcorn. People began knocking at his door, asking for the special seasonings so he set out to make the perfect blend of spices. After a few years of hard work Kernel Season’s was born and his quest to rid the world of naked popcorn began.
Kernel season’s has 17 seasoning flavors along with popcorn, popcorn makers, butter, and more. With 17 different flavors there is a flavor to please the whole family.
I was sent the Nacho Cheese, Jalapeno, Sour Cream & Onion, and Chocolate Marshmallow seasonings for review. My husband and daughter are huge popcorn eaters, so when our seasonings arrived they both wanted some popcorn. I gave my daughter the chocolate marshmallow which she loved! My husband on the other hand mixed nacho cheese and jalapeno. It was like eating nacho’s but without all the calories. He said the seasonings were really good and continues to use them anytime he has popcorn.
The seasoning are very simple to use. Pop your favorite kind of popcorn, sprinkle a little or a lot of seasoning, shake up the popcorn, and enjoy!
I am not a popcorn fan, *GASP*! I know, I suck! So I used the flavoring on other items like veggies, baked potatoes, and pasta. Talk about YUMMY! The best part is the seasonings only have 2-5 calories per 1/2 teaspoon. Not only are they good, but they are low in calories. Kernel Season’s also has recipe’s on there site for each of their flavors.
The Kernel Seasoning is a great product for popcorn or any other food item that could use some spice. There are a variety of flavors to make everyone in your house happy and they are reasonably priced at just $3.99 each. (Don’t worry they last awhile…) Kernel Season’s can be found at mass retailers such as Walmart, Target, Kroger, Safeway, and Albertson’s (to name a few). I’ve been using the Kernel’s “magic” for about 4 years now. We use it on everything…popcorn, baked as well as boiled potatoes, vegtables, corn on the cob, dips, butters, on top of dinner rolls as I bake them, on steaks and hambugers on the grill as they are just coming off~same with vegtables…the possibilities are endless!! We even sneak it in to the movie theatre and use it on our popcorn there!!! LOVE. IT. We’ve tried all the flavors just about except the chocolate marshmallow…haven’t seen the one yet-but that will be on my “look out ” list for sure!!
I love the nacho flavor. I wish I could find the salt and vinegar flavor at my local grocery store. They only carry a few of the flavors.
