We were sent the Big Building Bag by Mega Bloks for review. My daughter instantly wanted to play with them and sat for hours building, tearing down, and building again. She loves the big blocks and they are big enough that I don’t have to worry about her choking or losing the pieces. The Eco-Friendly bag is good quality and sturdy. It’s perfect for holding the blocks once my toddler is done playing with them and is great if you want to travel with the blocks.
In addition to the New “First Builders” line of products mega bloks released a mobile app in the App Store. It’s available to iPad’s, iPhone’s, and iTouches. The App encourages parents and young kids to build and play together as they go through easy-to-follow building instructions for colorful animals, boats, vehicles, and more. They have easy to follow animations, over 20 models, surprising visual effects, fun sounds, and a photo sharing function so you can share with friends and family via facebook & twitter. The APP in FREE for download and comes in 5 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German.
Sadly, I don’t have any apple products so I wasn’t able to test out the new app. It looks very fun, so hopefully they will release to the android market in the near future. If your like me and don’t have any apple products you can still get fun models to build by visiting the “let’s build” page. There are 8 models to build from with colorful instructions.

The Create ‘n Play Jr. sets would go well with some of our Lego Duplo sets. They don’t give you enough blocks in the packs it seems and Mega Bloks are considerably cheaper.
