Mega Bloks was nice enough to send us the First Builders Big Builders Bag which I reviewed a few weeks ago. Well I am back with another Mega Bloks review. In addition to the Big Builders Bag they sent us The Amazing Spider Man – Bridge Showdown. I knew this would be a big hit with my son who is 9 and I was right. When I gave it to him he got excited and couldn’t wait to put it together.
Recreate the epic bridge battle between Spider-Man and Lizard with the Bridge Showdown by Mega Bloks! Spider-Man and his Spider Jeep square off against Lizard and his tentacle-enhanced Attack Walker with launcher. As both vehicles collide, Spider-Man and Lizard suffer from battle damage, but you decide who claims the victory!
Ideal for children ages 6 and up!

The Amazing Spider Man Bridge Showdown came with detailed and colorful instructions. They were very helpful in putting the megs bloks set together. There were some parts that were a little confusing and it did take us awhile to put it together, but we had a blast doing it. There are lots of small pieces, so if you have a small one in the house it’s best to keep this set put up and out of their reach.
The Bridge Showdown set is themed after the new spider man movie, The Amazing Spider man. I haven’t had a chance to see it yet, but I am hoping too. Plus this will give my son and I something else Spider Man related to talk about.
Once the Spider Man car was put together my son had fun applying the stickers it came with and pushing the car around. I was happy that the wheels actually worked! The webbing is adjustable so you can put it on and off the top of the car so spider man can get in and out. Spider man even comes with a web for his hand…
All in All we loved our Amazing Spider Man Bridge Showdown Mega Bloks set. The pieces are small so they can be easily lost, so I told my son he has to make sure he keeps them all in the box when he is done playing with the set. The car was sturdy once built and drove around with ease. It’s a great addition to our toy collection and puts my son’s building skills to work. It’s a great toy for any boy age 6 or older who loves to build things!
