Now that my toddler is in speech and preschool I feel like there are 3 days during the week where I am on the constantly on the go. Those are the days I am out of the house so I end up running errands, going to the park, or whatever else I might want or need to do that involves not being home. I’m horrible about eating breakfast and usually skip it altogether, so I am starving by lunch time and want a quick meal.
I was recently given the chance to try Barilla Microwaveable Meals. They are a great on the go and healthy lunch option. They are available in 5 delicious flavors and ready in 60 seconds.
- 100% Natural Ingredients
- No preservatives
- Relatively low calories (only 320 calories per meal)
- Two whole grain options
The Barilla Microwaveable Meals come in a convenient size. They don’t take up much space in the cabinet, and are the perfect size for a lunch box or to toss in your purse. They are easy to prepare. Just fold back the plastic to the dotted line, microwave for 60 seconds, pull plastic off, mix sauce and pasta, and Enjoy!
I was a little nervous on how the Barilla Microwaveable Meals would taste, but the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. They are full of great flavor and left me feeling satisfied after my lunch on the go. I also like that you can spruce it up a little. I tossed some chopped up frozen chicken nuggets (60 seconds to heat) and Parmesan cheese into some of the lunches and it gave them a nice touch. You could even add some left over chicken, turkey, roasted vegetables, and/or mozzarella cheese.
While I love eating out, I try not to do it more then once a week since it’s not the best lunch option. I want to show my family that eating a quick meal doesn’t have to involve a drive through, lots of grease, and can be healthy. Barilla Microwaveable meals allow me to do that and I am happy I can have a healthier lunch that is quick and easy.
The Barilla Microwaveable Meals are the perfect lunch for the mom on the go or the mom who wants a quick and tasty meal.
