Duncan Hines Frosting Creations – a new way to spice up baking!

I love to bake and I like to let Duncan Hines make baking easier with their boxed cake mixes and frostings. They recently added a fun new twist to their line of frosting’s called Frosting Creations. The Duncan Hines Frosting Creations let you stir up your imagination with their fun frosting flavors, with flavors like Bubble Gum, Caramel, Mint Chocolate, and Chocolate Marshmallow. There are 12 delicious flavors to choose from and even some limited edition flavors.

I’ve seen the frosting creations in the grocery store before, but I hadn’t tried them yet. When Duncan Hines contacted me to test some out I jumped at the chance. I ended up picking Caramel and Strawberry shortcake to test out and I couldn’t wait for them to arrive.

The frosting creations start with a base white frosting. Then you can choose any of the 12 flavors to add to it. Just open the flavor packet, pour into frosting container, and give it a good mix. Very quick and easy. Once your frosting is made you can use it for cake, cupcakes, whoopie pies, cookies, or whatever you desire.

For the strawberry shortcake I made a yellow bunt cake, but dyed some of the cake pink and green. Once the cake was cooked and cooled I put the frosting in the microwave for 30 seconds to turn it into a glaze and drizzled it over the cake. The frosting was AMAZING! It’s so good and full of so much flavor. It really tastes like strawberry shortcake and doesn’t leave a weird aftertaste in your mouth.

(In case you’re wondering, I added pink food coloring to the frosting to give it more color)

Nothing beats a colorful and delicious cake!

For the caramel, I made Chocolate cupcakes with caramel frosting and a chocolate drizzle. They were just as delicious as the strawberry shortcake and full of so much flavor. The best part about the Duncan Hines frosting creations is they are affordable, available at most stores, and they’re delicious.
