My toddlers favorite thing to do is play on the iPad and if I let her she would be on it ALL day long. I like to load it up full of educational books, games, and various apps so I know that she is at least learning while playing with it. When I was contacted by BelugaBloo to review some of their interactive books and games I was thrilled. I am always looking for new apps for her and we were eager to test out what BelugaBloo had to offer.
The toddler has always loved to look at books and interactive books are one of her favorite things to do on the iPad. BelugaBloo offers a wide variety of interactive books and they have all types of books from classic tales to religious stories. You can choose to read the book by yourself or have the app read the book to you and you can touch different things on the pages to hear them make sounds or talk. One of the toddlers favorite books is the Busy Farm and in it she can touch the different animals and they make their animal sound. She gets a good laugh out of it every time and I often find her in the BelugaBloo app reading one of their stories.
Not only does BelugaBloo offer interactive books, but they have games as well. Everything from shapes, numbers, flash cards, colors, a piano, and more. Some of the toddlers favorite games are the A is for Apple App and Lullaby Piano. The A is for Apple app helps kids to learn their ABC’s. It has bright colored pictures and you can slide the cards to reveal the letter of the item or name and with a touch of the screen it names the item, spells it, and sounds it out. Along with learning their ABC’s the A is for Apple game has a memory type game that I find my toddler playing often. The Lullaby Piano teaches her to play classic nursery songs and walks her through how to play with. The piano keys are big and bright so they are easy for her to see and she has a blast playing each nursery song over and over again.
All of their books and games were a hit with my toddler and the BelugaBloo app is one of her top apps to play with when she gets time with the iPad. As a mom I love that all of the Apps have bright colors, fun characters, and are put together nicely. The apps are user friendly and very easy for my 2 year old to navigate on her own. They are interactive which keep her busy, but also educational so she is learning while having fun.
The BelugaBloo app is available in the Apple App Store and in the Google Play Store. The App is FREE and all the books and games are reasonably priced between Free and $2.99 each.
