If you’ve been following my blog then you know I am all about the easy meals and one pot dishes are my absolute favorite. With the Holidays coming up that means there will be even more chaos to tackle, especially with family coming to visit. My aunt always comes to visit and when she does she makes this delicious sausage and wine pasta dish that our whole family loves. It’s really easy to make, but hers isn’t a one pot dish so I decided to fix that and make it busy mom approved!
By now y’all should know I love Walmart. It’s my one stop shop. I can pick up household items, gifts, and get the items I’ll need to create my One Pot Sausage and Wine Pasta. For this dish you’ll need Barilla Pronto pasta which is awesome and really helps to cut down on dirty dishes and cook times since there is no need to wait for water to boil and no draining is required. You just toss it into your one pot dish (with at least 3 cups of water or broth) and it cooks up in minutes. Total life saver. You’ll also need a bottle of red wine, for the dish and to help with your sanity. I picked up Mark West Pinot Noir, which goes nicely with the dish. Walmart has a great selection of premium wines available for great prices, which comes in handy because most of my family are wine drinkers and if I’m entertaining I’ll need a few bottles.
For this dish you brown some mild Italian sausage, drain it, and then add the rest of your ingredients, stir, and let cook for about 10 minutes. Then it’s done. Talk about quick, easy, and not a bunch of dirty pans to wash.
Once it’s done cooking you’ll add a bunch of spinach into the dish, cover, and let sit for a minute or two. Sprinkle with some fresh Parmesan cheese, serve with some crusty bread, and enjoy a glass of wine with it.
Once dinner is over you’ll need some dessert for your guests. Since I’m sticking to the quick and easy meal plan I’m going with some Pepperidge Farm cookies. They’re a real crowd pleaser and the classic variety box gives everyone a few choices as to what they would like.

Looks great and reminds me of pasta my grandparents used to make with wine; I I do not cook with wine, and sure miss it.

This looks really good! I absolutely love one pot meals. I definitely don't have time to be scrubbing a bunch of pots and pans all the time! Thanks for the recipe!
