One of the fun things about having kids is how excited they get over holidays, whether it’s a small holiday or a bigger one, their joy and excitement is so fun to watch. Since Christmas is over and Valentines Day is just around the corner our daughter has been talking non-stop about valentines day with her class and what cards to get for her friends. We’ve looked at some cards at the big box stores and they’re just so blah and so generic. She wasn’t finding anything she liked and was starting to get frustrated. Then I learned that Minted.com carries classroom Valentines Day cards and I asked her if she wanted to look at them. She did and as we were browsing, she loved what she was seeing and ending up picking out the S’mores cards.
We picked out 2 styles, for a little variety, and it was very easy to customize them and get them ordered. We were even able to write a little message on the back of the cards and I figured it would be nice to give them a little treat to go with Valentines Day cards. So in addition to the cards we’re also making S’more pops to attach to the cards that her friends can enjoy. The S’more pops are very easy to make and we picked up all of our ingredients from Target.
We picked up a variety of paper straws from the $1 section in Target and cut them in half. We then placed a marshmallow on the end and set them aside. We then took a bunch of graham crackers and smashed them until they were in small chunks and graham cracker dust.
Right before you’re ready to start making the pops you’ll need to melt the chocolate. I melt mine in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and then do 15 second intervals until melted. Once the chocolate is melted you’ll dip the marshallow in the chocolate, give it a swirl, then dip the chocolate dipped portion in the graham crackers, and give a swirl in the sprinkles. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let dry.
Once they’ve dried (about 30 mins – 1 hour) put them into lollipop wrappers and tie with twine or string and attach them to the Valentines Day cards with some festive tape.
Simple. Fun. Cute.
Our daughter is super excited to give out these adorable treats and cards to her friends. You can pick up these adorable cards via Minted.com!

Beautiful presentation! So simple to make I think I will be able to try this out with my toddler. Use of the decorative straw is a nice touch.
