Do y’all remember last week when I told you about the Champions for Kids simple service project I was doing??

I was given the opportunity to work with Champions for Kids which is an organization that’s goal is to improve the lives of children in communities. The goal of this simple service project was to help improve children’s oral care. I set out to walmart and purchased Arm & Hammer Spinbrushes along with toothpaste & mouthwash. I was torn on giving to a local woman’s shelter or the victims of the Colorado wildfires, but I ended up deciding to give to the victims of the wildfires.
I chose the victims of the wildfires because because so many people lost their whole lives in those fires. I can’t imagine what that feels like to lose everything and to have to start your life over.
I ended up picking a local Red Cross and dropped off a box of goodies that can hopefully help out families who lost everything. I hope that donating oral care items, along with other hygiene items (lotions, shampoo’s, and first aide kits) can help at least one family in need.
In addition to the items above I also donated these items.
Oral care is such an important key in maintaining a healthy life and healthy teeth. The earlier you can teach your child about proper oral care the better. I always have a hard time when it comes to brushing my toddlers teeth, but ever since she started using her new choo choo spinbrush, brushing her teeth has really been a breeze. She is excited to use her choo choo spinbrush and I am happy that she isn’t fighting with me when I brush her teeth!!
