When I was little we always had family nights and I want to carry that over to my kids. It’s a great way to spend time together and have fun. My husband and I usually have game nights when he has a night off work and we end up playing video games together. Now that my toddler is old enough to start playing games I decided it was a good time to introduce her to family game night, so we set off to Walmart to get some supplies.
The first stop was to get a toddler approved hasbro game for family night. All of the games in our house are for older ages, so my toddler had no games to play with us. There was a great selection, but we ended up with the classic Elefun.
For family game night we are having BBQ Chicken Nugget Sliders, with fries. Yummm!! My kids love chicken nuggets, fries, and ketchup for dipping. Don’t all kids though?
The BBQ chicken sliders were easy to make. I tossed the Ore Ida French Fries and Tyson Chicken Nuggets into the oven together and cooked per the package directions. While those were baking I cooked some bacon. Once the fries and chicken nuggets were done I placed a chicken nugget on a slider bun, piece of cheese, half a slice of bacon, and some bbq sauce. We also had fries with Heinz Ketchup for dipping and some fruit. These were a huge hit and were gone very quickly!
Once dinner was done it was time to play our new Hasbro Elefun game!
To say my daughter had a blast would be an understatement. She LOVED Family Game Night and loves her new game. I think it’s safe to say Family Game Night will be a new feature with our toddler.

LOOOOOve this post. Family nights are such fun. I was so excited when my kids were finally old enough to play games. We also had family movie night and coloring night too. The last was more fun in the fall and winter. We would all get out our crayons colored pencils and markers..then sit by the fire and color. Some did books, others had special pages downloaded from internet and some had those fuzzy black picture ones. We had snacks and would stop for a special treat.....it was such fun and brought us altogether, I hope you dont mind if I share this post and especially the dinner..I have bigger kids now but those would be awesome with the bigger patties too. Thank you.
