Growing up I had a pair of jelly sandals, back when they were first popular, and I remember them being the coolest shoes to have that summer. Available in a variety of colors they were the must have item and all the cool kids had them. I remember begging my mom to get me a pair and finally getting the clear ones and then getting a pair of the heel jellys. Anyone remember them??
Well the 90’s are back and now we can enjoy Jelly Sandals again and our kids can experience the awesomeness as well. Thanks to an Australian company called Jelly Beans, jelly sandals have made their way back into our lives and I couldn’t be happier. The best part is that Jelly Beans are now available in the US and they have sizes for kids and adults in a variety of colors. Once I found out these cool shoes were back in style I had to pick up a pair for the toddler so she could experience how fun they are and she loves them just as much as I did.
I’ve been contemplating getting myself a pair, but being pregnant in this Denver heat with feet that like to swell didn’t seem like the best idea, so for now I’ll just watch the toddler enjoy her new sandals and once this baby comes I’ll have to get some… in every color. Since it’s summer and it gets HOT in Denver sandals are a wardrobe staple. My toddler is a little on the clumsy side, so when I get her sandals I like to make sure there is an enclosed toe since she loves to trip and fall. The jelly sandals are perfect for her because of the enclosed toe and when she falls down I don’t have to worry about her hurting her toes and that makes me one happy mama! Plus, they go with practically EVERYTHING in her summer wardrobe. I just love having such a versatile and stylish shoe in her closet…
