Cheese’s in Aurora, Colorado to celebrate our youngest daughter turning 3 and it was the best and easiest birthday party I’ve ever thrown!
We don’t have a lot of big parties because the thought of having to do all that work is such a turn off for me, but the kids are only little once and they’re all old enough to start remembering their birthdays and the parties that we have for them. I was trying to figure out what to do for our youngest ones birthday when Chuck E. Cheese’s reached out to me. I knew it was the perfect idea for her party! Chuck E Cheese’s allows for us to gather our close friends in one place and I don’t have to do any of the cooking or cleaning, which is a huge bonus for me. With someone else doing most of the “work” it really allows us to enjoy the party, mingle with our friends, and celebrate our little one. When you’re the one doing all of the work for a party it can be overwhelming, stressful, and you’re so busy running around that you don’t get to enjoy the day.
Once we figured out who we were inviting and how many people were attending I booked our party online. They have a few different party packages to choose from for a range of budgets, from $14.99 per kid to $24.99 per kid. Depending on the date and time your choose for your party you can earn extras like unlimited table time and bonus play points. We chose to do the VIP Mega Super Star Birthday Party Package since it gave the kids unlimited game play during the party. I went through all the steps of booking the party online, paid our deposit, and just sat back and waited for party day.
On the day of the party we picked up our decorations, cake, and headed to our local Chuck E Cheese’s to get pizza & game wasted. One of the things I liked about a party with Chuck E Cheese’s is that we could still bring our own party decorations. Since our daughter is OBSESSED with Trolls we grabbed a few Trolls birthday party decorations for the tables. We arrived shortly before our party time and met with some wonderful staff members who got our pizza orders going and helped us decorate our tables.
We had 40+ people at our party, so they made sure to put us at the end of the party section where we were surrounded by booths, so we had plenty of room for our guests. Once everyone started to arrive we handed all the kids their unlimited play points wrist bands and let them run free. Our Aurora, Colorado Chuck E. Cheese’s location had a big game area with things for all ages to do. The younger kids loved the toddler area and play structure while the bigger kids went straight to the games.
Our party host was very accommodating, friendly, and made our party a breeze. She did everything from setting up our table, serving pizza, slicing and serving cake, and cleaning it all up. When I tried to help she would shoo me away and tell me to go enjoy the party. When it was time for the important tasks like pizza, cake, and the Happy Birthday song we got a warning letting us know so we could round everyone up. With the party package we chose the kids also got to enjoy Dip n’ Dots ice cream and Chuck E Cheese’s handled the party bags, which the kids loved. Overall our party was a huge success, so easy for us, and we would definitely do it again. We even had a few of the parents saying they loved how easy it was and talking about booking their own Chuck E Cheese parties for their kids.
