How to Make Sugar Cookie Dip
If you’re looking for dessert platter ideas this dessert charcuterie board is just for you. The main star of the show is the sugar cookie dip, but everything on the board is delicious, holds up in transport, and will feed little or big hands. Whatever Christmas dessert board you make, it has to have a dip for cookies.
All of the ingredients for Sugar Cookie Dip are items you probably have on hand already or can be easily found at your grocery store. I’ll even add substitution ideas in case you need them. While most cookie dip recipes have cream cheese this is a cookie dip without cream cheese. This sugar cookie dip is like a cookie frosting dip or Christmas dunkaroo dip. It can also be used as a Christmas fruit dip.
To make your sugar cookie dip you’re going to need:
- 8 oz. container of Cool Whip
- ½ a cup of Sugar Cookie Coffee Creamer
- ½ teaspoon of Cake Batter Extract
- 3 to 4 cups of Powdered Sugar (start with 3 and add more if you want more sweetness)
- Christmas Sprinkles
Additional items include: (store-bought is all ok)
- Sugar Cookies
- Gingerbread Cookies
- Chocolate Covered Christmas Pretzels (a variety)
- Christmas M&M’s
- Christmas Tree Cakes
- Chocolate Fudge Pirouette Cookies
- Cutting Board
- Fruit like strawberry, banana, or apples
- Graham Crackers
- Plain Pretzels
How to make Sugar Cookie Dip:
Start by placing your cool whip, coffee creamer, and extract into a mixer. Mix on high until well combined.
Slowly add in your powdered sugar. Use 3 to 4 cups depending on how sweet you want it. Start with 3 and add more if you want it sweeter.
Mix on high until it becomes thick.
Place in the fridge for 1 hour.
Place some in a serving bowl, and top with sprinkles.
Place plastic wrap over the rest and store in the fridge.
Arrange your cookies, candy, pretzels, and cakes on the cutting board. See my display for an example.

Sugar Cookie Dip can be stored in the fridge for up to a couple of days. Make sure to put it in an air-tight container.
Sugar Cookie Dip Substitutions
Cool Whip substitute – Use whipped cream instead.
Sugar Cookie Creamer Substitute – You can substitute with French Vanilla Creamer.
Cake Batter Extract Substitute – Mix together 3/4 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract. If you can find butter extract add 1/2 teaspoon for that as well. Then use the amount called for in the recipe.

I love a good dessert charcuterie board, especially around the holidays. When it comes to making a charcuterie dessert board you can add anything you like to the board. The possibilities are truly endless when it comes to making a sweets charcuterie board.
You can keep them full of all sweet treats like cookies, cakes, and brownies. Or you can add in other options like fresh fruit or dried fruit. You can also add in dips like the sugar cookie dip. Even add in non-sweet items like plain pretzels and graham crackers.
When it comes to making your Christmas cookie dessert charcuterie board you want to squeeze everything together on your board so the board looks really full. You can use a smaller-sized board or an XL size board in any shape. Stack items next to each other and let them overlap a little bit.
How to Store a Christmas Dessert Charcuterie Board
You can make a dessert charcuterie board ahead of time, just make sure to wrap it really well with plastic wrap or store it in an airtight container (like a cake carrier) so your baked goods don’t start to go stale. You can make your board a couple of hours before it will be eaten. If you’re using a dip make sure to store that in the fridge until it’s ready to be served.
