Coconut Substitute
Don’t want to use coconut shreds? You can substitute them with white sprinkles or white chocolate shavings. Or you can use a white frosting or whipped cream and frost the skeleton bone instead.
Strawberry Cake Substitute
You can substitute the strawberry cake mix for red velvet, but if you use red velvet your bone will be very dark compared to the pink of the strawberry.
Skeleton Bone Cheese Ball Ingredients
To make your strawberry coconut skeleton bone Halloween cheese ball you’ll need:
⦁ 16 oz. of Cream Cheese
⦁ 1 stick of Butter
⦁ 1 and ¼ cups of Powdered Sugar
⦁ 1 box of Strawberry Cake Mix
⦁ 1 Bag of Coconut
⦁ Vanilla Wafers
How to make a Skeleton Bone Cheeseball
Start by beating your cream cheese and butter until smooth.
Place cake mix in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave it for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Add in your sugar and cake mix and mix on high until smooth.
Dump batter out onto plastic wrap.
Roll into a ball and place in the freezer for an hour.
Once hardened, unwrap and lay out on a plate.
Flatten and shape into a bone shape, as shown.
Cover in coconut, and surround with vanilla wafers.
Serve and enjoy!
