A ROYAL NIGHT OUT is an affectionate ‘what-if’ story about the adventures Elizabeth and Margaret might have had on the joyous night that brought the city of London together. The romantic comedy tells the story of an odd couple, Jack is a working-class guy and Elizabeth is a princess. They are thrown together by chance and have to make their way through London on this crazy, unbelievable night. And they’ve both got secrets. The princess has her secret identity and Jack has a secret she doesn’t know about.
A Royal Night Out was fun to watch. I just love the style from the era and it really shined through in the movie and it was fun watching princesses Elizabeth and Margaret on their big night out after being stuck in the palace during the war. We watch along as they experience friendship, kindness, danger, and the flutterings of first love in this fairytale adventure. This adult fairytale gets two thumbs up in my book and if you’re into romantic comedies then you should see A Royal Night Out at a theater near you!
