I’ve partnered with Colorado Mills to share information with you about the Kids Court and Easter Bunny!
Does anyone else have a favorite mall? One that you frequently shop at and that meets most, if not all of your needs? When we first moved to Colorado I visited various malls around the Denver metro area to check them out and see which one best met my needs. I found Colorado Mills when I was looking for a Carters store and I’ve been going there ever since because it meets my needs. I’ve never found a mall that has ALL the stores I like to shop at in one place, but Colorado Mills does. My favorite stores to shop at for the kids are Carters, Osh Kosh, Crazy 8, Gymboree, Children’s Place, Sketchers, Stride Rite, Old Navy, and Target. They’re all affordable, good quality, and they have really cute and stylish stuff. If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you’ll know that I’ve talked about all these brands before and how I love them for my kids. When I visited Colorado Mills and saw that ALL of these stores were in one place I was thrilled and I’ve been going back ever since. It’s the epitome of one stop shopping for me and with 3 kids in tow, one stop shopping makes life so much easier.
Colorado Mills is made up of different sections and each section has stores that meet that “theme”. For example, the kids court. The Kids court is one of the sections of Colorado Mills and it’s full of kids related stores like Buil-A-Bear, Carters, Toys R’ Us Express, Stride Rite, and also contains fun things for kids to do like little rides and the train. It’s also where they hold special events like the Easter Bunny, Santa, and various other kid events through out the year.
Yesterday our family took a trip to Colorado Mills. Since Easter is just a few weeks away I wanted to get their pictures done with the Easter Bunny, pick up their Easter outfits, and a few odds and ends for their baskets. Our first stop was for the Easter Bunny and when we arrived the staff was so nice and welcoming. The girls went right to the Easter Bunny with no issues, but our 2 year old is a little more hesitant. He tends to be more shy and after our trip with Santa (where he was seen running from the guy) I was a little worried the Easter Bunny would be a disaster. The staff talked with him, played with him, and even gave him a little treat to help warm him up to the Easter Bunny and the Easter Bunny was trying to play with him as well. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had when it came to visiting an Easter Bunny or Santa and I was really appreciative of that. Our son wasn’t thrilled about the Easter Bunny, but with the help of the staff we got him to sit next to him long enough for a picture of them all together.
After the Easter Bunny experience we took a walk around the mall to check out all of the stores and do some shopping. I had actually never been through the entire mall since I usually stick to the kids court and food court, but we found so many great stores in the mall that my husband started commenting that Colorado Mills was a great mall and we’d be coming there a lot more to do our shopping. It’s very rare that he goes shopping with me and on this instance he did and he finally understands why I drive a little further to go to Colorado Mills, because of the store selection. Once we were done shopping we hit up for food court for lunch and the kids took a ride on the carousel (located in the middle of the mall) before we headed home.
Visiting Colorado Mills is always a fun experience and one I look forward to. There is so much for the family to do, stores that meet everyone’s needs, and restaurants to fuel up on. Colorado Mills is also great on those hot and cold days. The mall is just under a mile around so it’s a nice warm place to walk inside, grab a bite to eat, and do a little shopping. The only thing that would make it more perfect was if it had an indoor play area, which I hear is a possibility! In addition to the Colorado Mills mall, they also own Denver West which is right across the street and has stores like Old Navy and plenty of sit down family restaurants.

Not a big fan of malls, but when I do go I like a regional department store called Boscov's...not glamorous or pretentious, just the department store I remember from my childhood. The features I look for in any mall are plenty of entrances so that I can go just to the stores I want and not have to trounce al over the place.
