30+ Valentine’s Day Affirmations for Kids

Sharing is caring!

Words of Affirmation Hearts are a fun thing to do with kids leading up to Valentine’s Day!

Are you looking for cute ways to show your love for your kids this Valentine’s Day? These Valentine’s Day Affirmations of love are the perfect way to boost your child’s confidence, show them you love them, and spoil them with compliments leading up to the big day of love.

I can’t remember where I first saw the idea to leave a heart on your child’s door each day in February until Valentine’s Day with something you love about them, but I instantly loved it. While it’s always important to let your kids know how much you love them, giving them notes leading up to Valentine’s Day makes the month just a little more special and fun. Plus, it gives them something to look forward to and makes them feel a part of Valentine’s Day when so much of it is marketed towards adults.

I’ll be sharing more on how I’m doing this project with my Cricut Explore Air, but if you don’t have a cutting machine you can still easily do this project. All you’ll need are some heart-shaped paper cutouts and a black marker. You can cut the hearts out yourself or you can buy premade cutouts from places like The Dollar Store, Michael’s, or Amazon.

Each day you’ll add a new heart to their door with a new affirmation of love you have for them. Since I have 3 kids, I want to make sure that I am giving them all their own special affirmations and I’ve already started to plan what those things will be so I am fully prepared for this project. However, thinking of 14 different affirmations for 3 different kids can be a bit overwhelming to do all at once.

There are so many unique things I love about each kid, but there are also a lot of notes that could end up being the same and I’ve gotten stuck a few times thinking of different ways to share my love for them. So if you’re like me and need some guidance on what to write on those notes for your kiddos. Here are 30+ Affirmations of Love for Kids!

I also asked a few moms who do this what their favorite part about this project was and here’s what they had to say:

Shannon from Dailymomtivity.com (check out her post about this project) said: My kids love the heart messages. I’ve done them the last few years now so they know that on February 1st they will have a new message on their door. I always do it when they are at school so they run in the door to check out what I’ve written each day. It’s such a fun a simple thing that brings them a smile. I really hope it’s something they will pass down and do with their own kids one day!

Michelle from Divaswithapurpse (check out her post about this project) said: I love that my kids took the initiative to join me. They started placing hearts on my husband and I’s door to let us know things they loved and appreciated about us. It quickly became a family-centered project that we all look forward to each year.
