What is a Snack Board
A snack board is similar to a charcuterie board. You add your favorite snacks or foods that pair well together. They’re great as an appetizer for parties, quick and easy lunches, and so much more. Traditionally they are a board of meat and cheese, but they have since evolved into whatever foods you like.
You could make your snack board with breakfast items, meat and cheese, fruits and veggies, candy, desserts, or a combination of everything. The possibilities are endless.

How to Make a Red, White, and Blue Snack Board
Now that we have found our snacks for our red, white, and blue-themed snack boards let’s put it together. You are going to need:
- 1 -2 Blue Foods
- 3 Red Foods
- 2-3 White Foods
- Platter or Serving Tray
- Small Bowl – Like a star shaped one
Note: If you are going to have different dips it’s a good idea to have bowls for them. I would do with red, white, and blue stars.
How to assemble a kids charcuterie snack board.
Wash and Dry any fruits or Veggies. Make sure they are completely dry before adding to the snack board. If they’re wet they could cause your other foods to get soggy, like chips or cookies.
Place your blue food into a bowl or on the platter in the top left corner. This will act as your blue section of the flag.
Then you are going to do a row of red food and alternate between red and white until you make a flag-looking snack board.
I used 2 blue foods, 3 red, and 3 white, but you can use more or less depending on the look you’re going for.
From prep to finish your snack board should be done in under 10-15 minutes.
How to Store a Snack Board
To store your snack board you can place your items in air-tight containers until they’re ready to serve or you can cover your snack board with saran wrap until it’s ready to serve. Snack boards are best served the same day depending on the foods but can be good for 1-2 days in the fridge.
