Cranberry Magic Bars Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make your cranberry magic bars:
- Graham cracker crumbs
- Butter
- Sugar
- Condensed milk
- Dried cranberries
- Walnuts
- Shredded sweetened coconut
- White chocolate chips
- Milk chocolate chips
How to Make Cranberry Bliss Bars
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray a 9×13” baking pan with cooking spray and set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, butter, and ¼ teaspoon of salt until well combined.
Turn the mixture out into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly to create the base. Use your hand or a flat bottom glass to firmly press the base into the pan.
Slowly drizzle the can of condensed milk evenly over the graham cracker base. Do not try to use a spoon or anything else to spread the condensed milk.
Add the dried cranberries, walnuts, coconut, chocolate chips, and remaining ¼ teaspoon of salt to a medium bowl and mix to combine. Sprinkle the mixture over the condensed milk in an even layer.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden. Allow the cookie bars to set in the pan for at least an hour before cutting and serving.
Tips and Tricks
Do not try to spread the condensed milk over the graham cracker base as doing so will likely cause the crust to pull apart. It is OK if there are some small patches of crust showing beneath the condensed milk, it will spread more as it bakes.
Ensure you are using sweetened shredded coconut and not unsweetened.
You can substitute the walnuts for pecans to make the bars even more festive. If you need to make the bars nut free, replace the nuts with another ⅓ cup of cranberries, coconut, and chocolate chips. You want to have four cups of topping in total.
Be sure to let the cookie bar set for at least an hour before you try to cut it. Cutting too early will result in the bars falling apart.
The cookie bars can be cut with a cutter one set to create more uniform squares or even circles.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days.
These cranberry magic cookie bars make excellent gifts when wrapped in a clear plastic bag with a bow or added to a cookie tin.
