How to Make Halloween Muddy Buddies Chex Mix

Start by placing your cereal in a large mixing bowl. While this recipe uses Krave Cereal, you can use your favorite Chex Cereal, chocolate would be great for this recipe.

Add your white chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for two minutes, stirring halfway through, until everything is melted and smooth.

Place your icing in the microwave for 30 seconds.

Pour your melted chocolate and icing over cereal and fold until well combined and everything is coated evenly.

Add your powdered sugar to a ziplock bag.

Pour in your chocolate covered cereal. Seal the bag and shake well, until all the cereal is coated in powdered sugar.

Pour out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in the freezer until your chocolate is set.

In a large serving dish, add your gummy worms, Oreos, sprinkles, and prepared muddy buddies. Mix until well combined.

Combine your syrup and food coloring in a small dish. Fill up your syringe. Hand the kiddos a spoon and let them add fake blood to each bite! Creepy!

How To Store Muddy Buddies

For these graveyard muddy buddies, you want to make sure not to add the syrup to them unless you’re eating them or the muddies buddies will get soggy.

How long do muddy buddies last? When stored in an airtight container traditional muddy buddies can last 2-3 weeks, but I recommend eating them within 2-3 days for ultimate freshness. However, with the added cookies and gummy candy, I suggest eating them within 1-2 days.
