PlasmaCar – A fun ride on Car for Kids! – Review

Sharing is caring!

With spring here and summer just around the corner the weather has been beautiful! With beautiful weather comes the opportunity to spend many hours outside playing. When I was a kid I spent many many hours outside playing on my big wheel and I want my kids to experience and enjoy those same moments, so when I was given the opportunity to review the PlasmaCar by plasmart I was beyond thrilled.

The Plasmacar is a mechanical marvel that makes use of the most inexhaustible source of energy; kid-power.

One of the world’s best-selling children’s ride-on-toys, the PlasmaCar’s unique and award-winning design requires no batteries, pedals, gears, or electrical parts to propel the car; you simply turn the steering wheel, and away you go! The PlasmaCar harnesses the natural forces of inertia, centrifugal force and friction.

Quiet, inexpensive, and providing limitless playability, the PlasmaCar is truly a unique toy that can reach exhilarating, but kid-friendly, speeds of up to 10 km/hour (6 mph). . . It’s pure energy, and pure fun!

The plasmacar arrived and the first thing I noticed is that the box was a lot lighter then I was expecting. I opened it up and got to work putting it together. I had it together in about 5 minutes, YES it was that easy. The most difficult part was getting the steering wheel on tightly. I found that using the hex key and putting a screw driver through the holes and tightening it that way was A LOT easier.

I love how light the plasmacar is. It makes for easy transport and it also fits nicely into the trunk of my car. The recommend age is 3+, but my 2 year old loves riding around on it. I let her test it out in the house and she figured it out right away, so we went outside to play with it some more. It’s very simple to use. You just turn the steering wheel back and forth and off you go! It doesn’t go too fast which is nice, since I might have to chase after her. It also moved along the sidewalk smoothly. I thought the bumps, dips, other flaws in the sidewalk would pose a problem, but the plasmacar rode over them like they weren’t even there. I’ve even seen a few kids at our local park with plasmacar’s…

I love that it’s something the whole family can use, from my daughter to my husband. (There is a weight limit of 220 lbs).

What better way to get your kids playing outside and getting some fresh air then with a fun car to ride around on?

The Plasmacar can be purchased via local retailers or amazon. To find a retailer near you, use this handy store locator.

Plasmacar was nice enough to offer one reader the chance to win their own Plasmacar. You can enter to win your own via the Newbie Blog Hop, April 10-17, 2012.

*I was given a Plasmacar for review purposes. Regardless, all opinions are 100% my own.

i lovehow easy they are to use, assemble and how a wide age group can use them, i've seen kids from ages 3-40 yrs. use them though I didn't know they rode smooth over bumps and dips (always saw them in a gym) in driveways and sidwalks. or the weight limit.

I love that my kids would have to use themselves to get it going. Great way to get them out and moving and using some muscles.
