At flipflop wines, they have embraced the movement toward individualistic expression, instead of manufacturing wines into some cookie-cutter style that’s all the rage. Their goal is to craft expressive, well-balanced wines that evoke just what the grapes inside intended, without being over-wrought or over-explained, and that can be enjoyed at any occasion. The flipflop collection includes Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Moscato, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir wines. With seven varietals, there is a flipflop wine for everyone, which is why they say “to each, their own”.
I was so excited to get some of these wines to review. I am not a huge drinker, let alone a wine drinker, but I wanted to try something new. I couldn’t wait for the fedex man to come, you could even say I was stalking him. When I finally heard that loud knock at my door I took off running, flung the door open, signed on the dotted line, then ripped the box open. My first thought was, What am I going to cook to go along with these?
*Side not: Anything with a flipflop on it gets a thumbs up in my book, especially since I LIVE in flopflops year round. I knew we would be a match made in heaven and how cute is the bottle with the flipflops on them?*
I received the Pinot Grigio, Riesling, and Pinot Noir. The Pinot Grigio was definitely my favorite, but they were ALL DELICIOUS! The Pinot Grigio paired great with a baked tortellini dish I prepared and I even found myself going back for another glass of wine. There are also 2 other great things about this wine besides the great taste, They are only $7 a bottle AND for every bottle of flipflop wine purchased, Soles4Souls will distribute a pair of shoes to someone in need (more on that below).
FlipFlop wines has partnered with Soles4Souls, which is an international shoe charity dedicated to providing footwear to those in need. This is such a great thing they are doing. I love a company who gives back to people in need.
These wines are great for any occasion, So what are you waiting for? Go and order FlipFlop Wines today!
FlipFlop wines and Soles4Souls are also having “The flippin’ good deeds Challenge” which I will be taking part in. I’ll be collecting gently used footwear for those in need, so if you have shoes your children have outgrown or shoes you no longer need then please contact me about donating them.
(I was not paid for this review. I was given wine to review and all opinions are 100% my own)
