Do you love soda? I know I do and I was ecstatic when I was given the opportunity to review a SodaStream Soda Maker. Soda is one of my guilty pleasures/bad habits.

SodaStream is environmentally friendly and cheaper on your wallet.

The soda maker machine was easy to assemble and takes up minimal space on my counter. There is no need for an outlet or batteries, which makes it even more convenient.

To use your soda maker you hook up the carbonator cartridge to the machine, fill water bottle with water, and attach the water bottle to the soda maker machine. This next step took me awhile to get. Yes, I am special when it comes to using new things. I did the above steps and pushed the button 3 times like the instructions indicated. I unattached my water bottle and saw NO carbonation. I couldn’t figure out what I did wrong since I pushed the button the amount of time stated, so I went to youtube and found a video on how to use it. Apparently I wasn’t pressing the button enough. You will know you have done it correctly when the machine makes a LOUD noise. The best way I can describe it is as a loud fart. You need to have this noise 3-4 times to get the right amount of carbonation and depending on the mix you use you may need up to 6 pushes.

I was a little disappointed that the cola flavor didn’t really taste like cola, it really had no flavor at all. I also tried lemon lime and orange and they tasted like regular soda.

SodaStream has a wide variety of flavors. Soda syrups, fruit mixes, ice tea, and sparkling water flavors.

SodaStream is great for anyone who likes to be green because it uses less bottles/cans then traditional soda, which means less waste.

SodaStream can be purchased online or at a local retailer.

Final Verdict – I would reccomend SodaStream to anyone who wants to be green and/or who loves soda, ice tea and sparkling water. The carbontaion lasts longer then a traditional 2liter soda bottle, the flavors are good, and the machine is easy to use.
