HexBug Review & Giveaway!

Sharing is caring!

HexBug was conceived by leveraging their robotics expertise, they entered the toy industry in 2007 with the launch of the HEXBUG Micro Robotic Creatures product line. HEXBUG was designed to give children a positive experience with robotics at a young age. Their passion for robotics, as demonstrated by their VEX Robotics program, was the main catalyst fueling HEXBUG’s inception. Hence, the brand was born! People are drawn to the HEXBUG brand for their products’ fascinating behavior, intelligent bug-like attributes and eye-catching packaging. Some of the products are so animated, they even fool cats, dogs and some humans into thinking they are alive!

I have seen HexBug’s at various stores, mostly near the check out isle in a little tube. I never paid much attention to them, but was always curious as to what it was. So one day I finally decided to find out more about what these robot looking bugs were.

A HexBug Nano is a robotic creature that acts like a real bug. They flip over onto their back by themselves and they are collectible. You can go online and register your HexBug and HexBug sets to unlock games and learn about real science.

I was given the HexBug Raceway Habitat Set to Review.

Put your HEXBUG Nanos to the ultimate speed test with the Raceway Habitat Set. Use the included easy connect pieces to customize your track. Included Starting Gates and Magic Track hold Nanos in place until you release them and then the race is on! Whichever Nano passes through the Finish Gate and raises the checkered flag is the winner!

Each Raceway Habitat Sets comes with 2 extremely rare Nano mutations, special Nano Speed Shells and 28 easy connect pieces, giving you the freedom to get creative and customize your Nano Raceway.

I love that this toy is not only fun to play with, but educational.

It helps you to use your creative thinking in building a track, which is always a great thing when it comes to toys! You can even purchase other hex bug sets and connect them together to make even bigger habitats.

We had lots of fun building our tracks different ways and racing our HexBug Nanos to see who would win. I’ll definitely be heading out to buy more nano bugs so we have more options of bugs to race with…

*This toy does have small pieces. If you have small children around this can pose a choking hazard.

You can purchase HexBug’s and HexBug Habitats at any big retailer or online. HexBug is having a 12 days of holidays on their website with a different HexBug item on sale each day!

HexBug is providing one of my fabulous reader with a HexBug Nano! To enter fill out the rafflecopter form below!

*I was given a HexBug Raceway for review purposes. All opinions are 100% my own.
