BBQ chicken is a favorite in our house. I love this recipe. It’s simple, easy, and flavorful!
Ingredients:
2-3 pounds of chicken
Seasoned Salt
Pepper
1/2 of a Green & Red Bell Pepper
1/4 to 1/2 of a red onion
3-4 gloves of garlic
BBQ Sauce – Your choice
Roasting Bag
Directions:
Preheat over to 350.
You can use any kind of chicken you want. Legs, Breasts, Thighs. I went with Chicken Breast Tenders.
I always suggested rinsing chicken under cold water and patting dry with paper towels. It helps to get all the chicken juices and what not off the chicken. Once this is done sprinkle your chicken with seasoned salt and pepper. Don’t be shy, give it a nice good coating!
Chop red & green bell peppers and red onion into chunks. Peel Garlic and give it a little smash. (You don’t have to eat the veggies, but they do give the chicken a good flavor.)
Add your seasoned chicken and chopped veggies to a roasting bag, squirt in a good amount of BBQ sauce. (I love sweet baby rays!) I put in enough BBQ Sauce to cover the chicken. (About half a bottle, maybe)
Tie the roasting bag, place on a cookie sheet or dish and bake for 30-45 minutes or until chicken is done.
The BBQ turns into a nice glaze and the veggies give the chicken and bbq sauce a nice flavor.
I love doing the roasting bag because it makes clean up and breeze and my chicken comes out so tender and moist.
You could also do this in the crockpot. Follow the above steps, just toss everything in a crockpot and cook for 6-8 hours.
ENJOY!
