Peaceable Kingdom’s Feed the Woozle Review

Sharing is caring!

Peaceable Kingdom was founded in 1983 with a single product – a poster featuring the beloved art from the classic children’s book Goodnight Moon. Twenty-eight years and more than 5,000 items later, the company has grown to be a leader in juvenile stickers, greeting cards, and games.

Peaceable Kingdom’s mission is to make good, do good, and be good. Which means: creating fresh, fun, award-winning products that educate, inspire, and tickle funny bones, donating frequently to charitable organizations that support the well-being of children, being committed to working only with socially-conscious manufacturers, using sustainable and eco-friendly materials like FSC and recycled papers, soy-based inks, and corn-based plastics whenever they can, maintaining integrity in all business relationships, and having fun while they work!

Peacebale Kingdom has recently released 3 new cooperative games for preschoolers and 2 cooperative games for kid! What is a cooperative game you ask? A cooperative game is a game where all players play together against a common obstacle, not against each other. In a cooperative game no one feels left out and everyone has fun! Peaceable Kingdom’s cooperative board games use familiar game mechanisms – spinning a spinner, matching cards, moving a token, strategizing a win! The difference is that players play together. Playing together helps kids in many ways – they experience shared decision-making, they build self-esteem, they learn to share, to feel compassion, and to work as a team. Playing cooperative games teaches kids to cooperate.

I love the idea of cooperative games and was eager to introduce my daughter to them. I was sent Peaceable Kingdom’s Feed the Woozle for review.

While this game is meant for preschoolers it could be played by ANY age. Since my daughter is almost two, we played the game together on Level 1. To play on Level 1 you roll the die, put that number of snacks on the spoon and walk to the woozle. You feed the woozle all of the snacks and once all the snacks are done you win! If you want to play with older kids you could play on levels 2 and 3. Each level gets a little more challenging and asks you to do different silly thing like walking backwards, to do a hula dance, or walking with a blind fold on.

I love that the game teaches body awareness, motor skills, and counting. I love games that are not only educational, but that the whole family can play no matter their age.

All in All Feed the Woozle is a new favorite game. My toddler, 9 year old, and I can all play together. It’s a quick game so it keeps the toddlers attention and it’s fun so it will keep my son’s attention.

You can purchase Feed the Woozle and other Peaceable Kingdom games via Amazon for $19.99 and up.
