Soft pretzels are one of my favorite snacks, so when I learned that Auntie Anne’s had bake at home kits I was intrigued and couldn’t wait to try it. I was sent the Apple Cinnamon Pretzel kit and this is so fitting for me since Apple Cinnamon is one of my favorite smells and muffins.
I was a little nervous about making my pretzels because working with yeast always makes me nervous. I try to stay clear of it as much as possible, but the directions in the kit were straight forward and easy to use. The kit comes with everything you need to make the pretzels and has detailed instructions. You can even visit their website and watch a tutorial on how to make them. When I opened up my kit there was a recipe card with some delicious looking alternative recipes to use your kit with. I decided to visit the recipes on the website before I got to work and found a few recipes for the apple cinnamon kit. I decided I would make apple cinnamon cinnamon rolls instead of the standard pretzel.
Making my cinnamon rolls was easy to do, but a little time consuming. They turned out so delicious and were perfect with the cream cheese icing recipe provided. Some of my cinnamon filling ending up cooking out of the rolls, but this just made them even more delicious and a little gooey. They are the perfect twist on the classic cinnamon roll and it was fun making something other then pretzels.
(Totally forgot to take pictures before we ate them all. Luckily I instagramed this photo)
