DIY: Christmas Ornament Wreath

Sharing is caring!

A HUGE Thank You to all of the fans who voted for my Christmas Ornament Wreath in the eReplacementparts.com KitchenAid Giveaway! I ended up winning…

By now you should all know I love to browse around Pinterest and I’ve tested out a few things I’ve found on there. I am in love with Christmas Ornament Wreaths, but they are so expensive and I was putting off making my own since ornaments themselves are on the pricey side. Then I found this lovely Tutorial by Pearls, Handcuffs, and Happy Hour using dollar store items! SCORE! I didn’t even know the dollar store sold ornaments, but upon my arrival I found boxes and boxes full of them.

For this project you will need ornaments, wire coat hanger, and hot glue gun & glue. Wired ribbon and bells optional.

I bought 3 different sized ornaments and the only downside about buying dollar store ornaments is they come in four colors: Red, Green, Gold, and Silver. Luckily non of my ornaments broke during assembly, but having to glue the top on (it’s a must) is time consuming. It took me about an hour to put the wreath together, I probably could have been done sooner, but I was going slow. To give my wreath some extra love I added a Bow with bells. You can see the whole tutorial HERE and the bow tutorial HERE. The bow I made is the same Bow I’ve been making for my Christmas Tree Toppers. Once the bow is made I tied the bells to it, or you could hot glue them. Whatever is easier.

Basic Directions: bend coat hanger into circle, pull off ornament tops and glue tops on of ornaments onto ornament, string ornaments on circle, alternating sizes, and twist top of coat hanger together once done. If adding bow – make bow, attach bells, and tie to the top of the wreath. Hang & Enjoy!

Good Luck!

Total Cost: $10

P.S. I couldn’t find wire coat hangers ANYWHERE and I didn’t have any. I went to a local dry cleaners and asked to buy one, they gave it to me for free. So if you are stuck on where to get one, hit up a local dry cleaner!
