Nomad Footwear: Rain Boots

Living in Colorado we are blessed with four seasons. It doesn’t rain too much, but when it does it tends to rain heavy and hard. On days like this regular shoes just won’t cut it, so I’ve been on the lookout for a good pair of rain boots. When I came across Nomad  Footwear I knew I wanted a pair of their boots. To me rain boots should be fun and that’s just what their boots are. Their style is different from other brands I have checked out and they have a decent selection of boots. In addition to rain boots they have cowboy boots, sandals, wedges, and flats for woman and girls.

While browsing the boots I noticed there was a warning saying the boots run 1/2 a size big. Since I tend to buy 1/2 a size bigger then my normal shoe size, when purchasing boots, I went with my normal shoe size. The boots arrived and I couldn’t wait for some rain so I could test them out. Once the rain finally arrived I got to work testing them out. The boots came to my calf and the sizing was just a tiny bit big, but that was ok with me since if I want to wear a pair of thick socks I will have enough room to do so. The boots are your typical rain boot material and since this was my first pair of rain boots it took me awhile to get use to wearing them. They did fit great and were comfortable to wear. They kept my feet dry from the rain and I even wore them after it snowed. They were perfect for when the snow was melting and turning into that slushy, wet mess it becomes. Nomad boots are water resistant NOT WATERPROOF and are NOT intended for extreme weather conditions, so I wouldn’t wear them while it was actually snowing.

It was hard picking one pair of boots, but I ended up going with the Puddles – Green Flower Power boots. I love the funky design and fun colors. They are exactly what a rain boot should be, in my opinion. They are great quality and the buckle on the side give the boots a little extra flair. I love pairing them with a pair of basic black leggings and an over sized solid color sweater. The boots are all the accessory and color I need in an outfit.
