This past Tuesday, January 8th, 2013 – Disney’s Frankenweenie was released on DVD and BluRay, including all-new short, “Captain Sparky vs. The Flying Saucers”, and Burton’s Original Live-Action “Frankenweenie” short!
We were fortunate enough to see Frankenweenie in theaters and I knew we would have to get the DVD once available. My daughter and I both loved the movie and you just can’t go wrong with a Tim Burton movie. We’re loving being able to watch the movie on Blu-Ray and getting to watch all the lovely extras.

I am a huge Tim Burton fan myself. Personally, I would've liked to have seen his version of the Maleficent film. I haven't watched the new version of "Frankenweenie" yet because of how much I love the original short film it's baseds on, but I will. I'm just glad he worked with Winona Ryder again!
