I can’t believe the 3rd week of my Omron Fitness Challenge is over and the 4th week is beginning. It’s been a challenging and fun 3 weeks and I am loving the changes. I went from never working out to working out 4-6 times a week. I also changed my eating habits and try to eat healthier and lower calorie meals. I also cut back on the amount of soda I drink. I try to eat at home as much as possible, but when I do eat out I eat smaller portions and I make sure to eat good the rest of the day. LOTS of water. I’m not a big juice drinker so cutting that out hasn’t been a problem. I do however love a coca cola. I have drastically cut back on the amount I drink and when I do have one I limit it to just one. Water is my go to drink of choice now and I actually find myself craving it. Who would have thought?
I go to the gym 4-6 times a week. More like 5-6 and I do 30 minutes on the treadmill along with some weight exercises. Last week I explained how I use the treadmill and I am loving the workout it gives me. My legs are always achy afterwords and I know that it’s working. The best part of this challenge is that it’s all starting to pay off. I put my yoga pants on the other day and they were looser in the butt and thighs. It was such a great feeling and I can’t wait until I have to go buy a size smaller.
On top of using my Omron Fitness Pedometer and Scale I started using their Strapless Heart Rate Monitor. It’s like a watch that I wear on my wrist while working out and I am never left wondering what my heart rate is and I don’t have to grab the treadmill bars and wait for it to calculate.
This week I am down 3 lbs! for a total loss of 7lbs! Woohoo!!
Measurements:
Waist – Before: 41 After: 39 = Loss of 2 inches
Hips – Before: 55 After: 49 = Loss of 6 inches
Arms – Before 16.5 Each After: 16 Each = Loss of .05 Inches each side
Thighs: Before 31.5L & 32R After: 30L & 31R = Loss of 1.5L & 1R
