Shopping is my FAVORITE thing to do and my favorite exercise, but since becoming a mom shopping is moreover for the kids rather then me. I always put my wants/needs behind the kids and always get their wants/needs first. Oh the joys of being a mom! With Mother’s Day right around the corner I figured it would be a great time to pick up a new outfit and for once I didn’t find myself in the kids section…
Upon walking into my local Sears I saw displays of clothes with the hottest spring colors, which I am loving! I browsed around the plus size section for some Mother’s Day apparel and I was a little disappointed in the selection. I wish the selection was bigger and not so old looking, but I was very pleased when I saw that the Kardashian Kollection (offered exclusively at Sears) was available in plus size and that they have some super cute stuff.
I am in love with this pattern. I am not a big dress person, but the pattern in also available in a top which I tried on and I am actually still kicking myself for not getting, but I think I have finally made up my mind and I’m going back to Sears to get the top! After picking out my new top I headed down to the shoe department for a new pair of shoes. I mean, no new outfit is complete without shoes, right? But I was torn, I couldn’t decide which shoes I wanted and left it up to an instagram vote, in which the flower sandals won and I have to agree… They are adorable and perfect for spring and Mother’s Day! Let’s just hope the weather is nice in Denver this Mother’s Day.
I also checked out the accessories department, but didn’t find anything I loved, so it was time to check out and I was more then thrilled that Sears had a coupon! I LOVE COUPONS! It’s available in this weeks sale ad 4/28 – 5/4 and with it you can either save 15% off your clothing and accessories purchase or get 25% more in shop your way rewards. I went with the 15% off my purchase, but I still was able to use my shop my way rewards and racked up a few hundred points! YAY!
I ended up with a coral/orangish shirt and shoes from Sears. I am really loving this color for Spring and it’s also perfect for Mother’s Day. It’s so warm and the gold accent really makes the shirt sparkle. I am really looking forward to wearing it for Mother’s Day…
