When I think of the Residence Inn I think of somewhere business people stay on trips. I never would have thought to stay at an extended stay hotel on a family vacation until the Residence Inn Downtown Atlanta invited me and my family to stay with them on our trip to Atlanta. We arrived at night and were greeted by the valet who helped bring our bags into the hotel. I checked in and the front desk staff was super helpful, chatty, and accommodating. Explaining the hotel to me and letting me know if I needed anything to just give them a ring. We headed up to our room and we were instantly in awe when we walked in. A full size kitchen, small living room area, bedroom, and bathroom greeted us and I knew it was going to be a great 4 days!
The hotel has one of the best continental breakfasts I’ve ever eaten. Stocked with everything you’ll need to get your morning going like hot waffles, eggs, sausage, breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, fruits, yogurt, and various breads, along with coffee and juice. After breakfast they gave me a tour of the hotel and I’m so thankful they invited us to stay with them because this hotel has it all. Gym, Hot breakfast daily and Hors d’oeuvres (mon-thurs) with unlimited beer and wine, washers and dryers on site, a convenience store in the lobby, rooms that are like apartments, and super friendly staff. I couldn’t have asked for anything more in a hotel room!
They also have this really great complimentary grocery service. You just let them know the items you want stocked in your room and they’ll go to the store and pick them up and put them in your room. There is no fee for the service, you just pay for the groceries. How awesome is that? As a mom this is a fabulous feature to have at a hotel and I had some juice packs and snacks waiting for us because there are 2 things the toddler is ALWAYS asking for, something to eat and something to drink and sure enough when we got there she was hungry and thirsty after traveling and having these items on hand made life a little bit easier while hubby went out and picked up some food. Speaking of food, if you don’t want to cook there is a dunkin donuts and quiznos right next to the hotel and the hotel offers room service from a local diner.
Our stay was pretty awesome as well. I figured being in the middle of downtown we would hear city noise all night, but we didn’t. I didn’t even hear people walking in the halls. The hotel is super quiet, which I loved and it’s located about a mile away from all the attractions. The kitchen really came in handy to wash William’s bottles and heat them up. Of course I forgot the bottle warmer and since putting breast milk in the microwave is a big no no I was really thankful to have a stove to heat up water, so I could heat up his bottles. When we traveled when my daughter was a baby I remember washing baby bottles in the bathroom sink and it was such a pain in the butt, but having the sink made bottle washing so much easier and having the fridge to keep milk in was awesome.
Another thing I liked about the hotel was the pillows were really comfy, fluffy, and made for a good nights sleep and if your child likes to build pillow forts like my 3 year old does then you’re in luck because there were a bunch of pillows on the bed so she could make her forts. #winning
We received the studio with 2 double beds and a double sofa bed, but there are a variety of different rooms to choose from with a king size bed, studios, 1 bedrooms, and 2 bedrooms so if you’re going on a family vacation or a vacation with another family there is more then enough room for everyone. I really can’t say enough good things about our stay at the Residence Inn Atlanta and I would recommend it to ANYONE who is going to be staying in Atlanta. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to stay in a regular hotel with kids in tow ever again! It was like staying in an apartment all week with everything we needed during our stay…
*Our family was provided with a room from Residence Inn during our stay. All opinions expressed are my own. #RIFamily

The Residence Inn is good and The Staybridge Hotels owned by intercontinental Hotels does the same thing, They even have barbeque grills and basketball courts at least they used too,
