Help Support Alex’s Lemonade Stand at Red Robin on National Lemonade Day!

Sharing is caring!

Ahhhh Lemonade, It’s a favorite in our family and whenever we go out to eat our daughter has to have it with her meal. So when we went on a recent trip to Red Robin our daughter asked for her usual lemonade and we kicked it up a notch and got her the famous Freckled Lemonade there. Red Robin’s Freckled Lemonade is not only delicious, but when you order it at a restaurant Red Robin will donate a portion of proceeds to ALSF.

ALSF is Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation which is an organization that helps fight childhood cancer. Started by Alexandra Scotts who developed cancer at the age of 1. At the age of 4 Alex declared that when she gets out of the hospital she wants to have a lemonade stand. She said she wanted to give the money to doctors to allow them to “help other kids, like they helped me.” True to her word, she held her first lemonade stand later that year with the help of her older brother and raised an amazing $2,000 for “her hospital.” Alex and her family continued to hold yearly lemonade stands in their front yard to raise money for childhood cancer and she was able to raise 1 million dollars before she passed away at the age of 8 years old. Since her passing her family has continued her inspiring legacy through Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Red Robin is turning lemons into Freckled Lemonade on National Lemonade Day, Wednesday, August 20, honoring the beloved summertime drink by giving back.  On the national holiday, participating Red Robin restaurants across the U.S. will host lemonade stands serving Freckled Lemonade samples to guests, and collect donations to support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). You can help fight childhood cancer one cup at a time by:

  • Purchasing an Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation eGift Card at www.redrobin.com/giftcards
  • Purchasing  exciting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation-inspired merchandise on Red Robin’s website
  • Logging onto AlexsLemonade.org and donating to the charity
  • Purchasing a Freckled Lemonade at Red Robin on any other day of the year!
  • Visit www.redrobin.com/ALSF

Will you be stopping by a Red Robin location to get your freckled lemonade and help ALSF on National Lemonade Day (August 20th)? If you can’t visit a location you can still help ALFS with any of the way listed above!
