I’m participating in the McCormick’s Skillet Sauce® blogger campaign and received compensation as part of the program.
I’m always looking for a quick and easy dinner. The last thing I want to do at the end of the day is spending a lot of time cooking dinner. So when I learned about McCormick Skillet Sauces I knew they would have a special place in our kitchen. I found them at our local Walmart where all the sauce and spice packets are with the other McCormkick products, like taco seasoning and gravies.
McCormick is always my go to brand for spice packs because of the quality and great flavor. I couldn’t pick just one of their Skillet Sauces to try so I picked up all 7 flavors and have been using them. So far they’ve all been a hit and we’ve used Sesame Chicken Stir Fry, Sicilian Chicken, and Fire Roasted Chili. All of the flavors include:
- Fajita with Roasted Chili, Garlic & Lime
- Fire Roasted Garlic Chili
- Sicilian Chicken with Tomato, Basil & Garlic
- Smoky Applewood BBQ Chicken with Bacon
- Sweet & Smokey Sloppy Joe
- Taco with Chipotle & Garlic
- Sesame Chicken Stir-Fry
The McCormick Skillet Sauces are delicious and have been a big hit with the family. They make dinner quick, easy, and they’re packed full of flavor. I have dinner ready in under 20 minutes and it’s giving some variety to my “boring” dinner menu’s.
Turkey and Black Bean Chili
Ingredients:
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 lb ground Turkey
1 can black beans
1 can rotel
1/2 yellow onion chopped
2-3 cloves garlic minced
Directions:
Heat oil in a skillet and cook onion and garlic for a few minutes. Add ground turkey and cook until done. Drain
Next add the black beans, rotel, and McCormick Skillet Sauce.
Simmer for a few minutes and garnish with chili toppings like green onion, cheese, sour cream and serve with corn bread. Yum!
Enjoy!
The original recipe on the McCormick Skillet Sauce packet only calls for ground beef, skillet sauce, beans (drained), and canned tomatoes. I like to added a few extras to mine and I left the beans undrained for added flavor.
Which flavor are you most excited to try from the new McCormick Skillet Sauces available at Walmart?
