The sun is shining, flowers blooming, and Mother’s Day is just around the corner. It’s the one day out of the year where you show Mom some extra love and appreciation. While I believe it should be done all year long it’s nice to have one day set aside to really shower her with love, appreciation, and even spoil her a little. I think it’s safe to say that all moms want the day off for Mother’s Day. We put in a lot of hard work everyday and a day of quiet, some alone time, and someone else cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the kids is a dream come true for any Mom. So give it to your mom and/or significant other and spoil her with a few gifts in the process.

This Mother’s Day I’m spending it with my kids and creating memories in our new home. It’s extra special since my Birthday falls on Mother’s Day this year and it’s the first year we’re celebrating my birthday and Mother’s Day in our new home. Normally for Mother’s Day we have a big family bbq with all of my family. My aunts, grandma, and mom all gather while the men in our lives cook dinner and clean up after, but since all of our family is in California and we’re in Colorado this year we’ll be starting our own traditions. I’m so excited to see what my little family has in store. Since I won’t be joining my family this year I am making sure to send them all gifts as a way to say thank you for being so important in our lives. They’re the woman who raised me and helped me grow into the woman I am today and for that they deserve to be spoiled every Mother’s Day!

For their gifts I’ll be visiting JCPenney which allows me to shop for all the woman of my family in one place. When I asked a group of mom friends what they wanted most this Mother’s Day a top gift was to have the day off and a close second was to be pampered. So my Mother’s Day gifting theme this year is pampering Mom and JCPenney makes that so effortless.

My first stop was to the Jewelry department where I picked up a fashionable dainty necklace for mom. Something that is simple, beautiful, and will have her thinking of her kids every time she puts it on. I also fell in love with a rose gold watch and bangle set from Mixit. So stylish and pretty!

My next stop was Sephora inside JCPenney where I picked up a face mask gift pack from Peter Thomas Roth, bubble bath from philosophy, and a new perfume from Escada (which happens to be one of my favorite brands). One of the best ways to relax is with an uninterrupted bubble bath while wearing a face mask and a new perfume will keep mom smelling great for summer. I also grabbed a new lipstick that’s the perfect coral red for Spring/Summer, Daquiri from the Rainforest of The Sea collection by tarte.

Finally, I stopped in the JCPenney Salon to get some hair items for mom, but you can also send mom for a new hair style for Spring or a relaxing Mani/Pedi.

While inside JCPenney there was a display area in the front of the store with lots of Mother’s Day gift ideas so I grabbed a keepsake heart for the kids to give to my mom, their grandma. Something she can display proudly on her desk at work so everyone knows just how much her grandkids love their Yaya.
