Y’all… This year Easter is on April Fools Day and that means we can combine pranks with Easter. I love pranking our kids and it’s always harmless fun. With Easter being on April Fools Day this year I am starting early on putting together my list of Easter pranks for the kids. Broccoli lollipops, CHECK. Grape “eggs”, Double Check. Fake money in their eggs, Yep! Do you and your family play small pranks on each other? What’s are your favorite ones to do?
Brussel Sprout Cake Pops – Insert a stick into the brussel sprout, dip in melted chocolate, and add some sprinkles on top.
Chocolate Egg Grapes – wrap grapes in colored foil to look like chocolate eggs.
Jello Eggs – hollow out egg shells and fill with jello.
Mustard filled Chocolate Bunny – hollow out a small section and fill with mustard.
Jelly Beans in the toilet with a note that the Easter Bunny forgot to flush.
Donut Seeds – if your child likes to garden this would be a funny Easter Basket filler.
Fill your yard with Peeps on a stick – put peeps on skewers and place them all over your yard or in bushes.
Cheeseball Chocolates – they’ll get a real surprise when they bite into them.
Fill eggs with fake money
Fill their eggs with clues to find their prize. A scavenger hunt.
Glue eggs shut.
Fill eggs with confetti or sequins.
What pranks does your family enjoy? Will you be pranking your little ones for Easter?

Great ideas! Did the mustard-filled bunny, which turned out great. I also figured out a way to easily plug the hole at the bottom so that mustard wouldn't drip out - basically plugged it with a small ball of wax from a Babybel cheese we had on hand. We always have Jelly Bellies on the table at Easter, but this year there were some Beanboozled beans mixed in too.

This year some of the plastic eggs will contain packets of ketchup, mustard, soy sauce, ramen seasoning, etc. - whatever I have lying around. I like the jello egg idea - might have to try that!

For those concerned with food waste, another blog suggests you organize an egg hunt and don’t really hide the eggs. Send the kids on a wild goose chase for a little while. Confess, and then really hide the eggs.
