Whether you’re participating in a world of hearts or just looking for a way to thank an essential worker this Thank You Essential Workers Rainbow printable is perfect for any door or window.
I recently participated in a social media campaign to thank essential workers. This is something that is near and dear to my heart because my husband is an essential worker and I can see just how much all essential workers are needed right now, how they’re working long hours away from their families, and putting themselves at risk so people can get care, food, transportation, and more. Most essential workers are typically looked down upon and I’ve never understood why. I am here to tell you that your job is just as important as any other job and we appreciate all that you’re doing right now.
If you’re looking for ways to thank your local essential workers you could have meals delivered to them. Many are so busy they don’t have time to takes breaks or a lunch, send them cards of encouragement, or post a sign on your door or in your window thanking them.
When I put together this sign for our front door I never imagined so many people would love it or be interested in it, but when I made it I wanted to include ALL essential workers. While Medical staff is a very critical essential worker I also wanted to thank all of the other essential workers who are doing their jobs and being forgotten about.
List of Essential Workers:
- Daycares who are still open to care for the essential worker’s children
- Trains who are transporting goods across the country
- Cleaning crews who are working on sanitizing stores, restaurants, hospitals, and warehouses
- Law enforcement – Police, Security Guards, Prison Guards
- First Responders – Fire, Ambulance, and Dispatchers
- Healthcare Workers – Nurses, Doctors, Vets, Lab techs, Imaging, and every other healthcare worker
- Farmers, Ranchers, and Fishermen who are getting food for us
- Warehouse workers
- Manufacturers
- Gas station attendants, Gasoline Truckers, and Oil workers
- Utility workers – both in the field and in the office
- Grocery Store staff
- Restaurant Staff & Fast Food workers
- Mail carriers and delivery drivers
- Delivery people who are delivering food and groceries to our doors
- Construction workers, Handymen, and Lawn services
- Financial institutions
- Our military
- Teachers
Is there someone I left off the list? Let me know and I can make sure to add them in, but several symbols represent several different types of workers and I hope that I covered them all. All essential workers are important and they need our support and encouragement during these times.
Reach out to an essential worker and say THANK YOU and if you can grab them a drink, a meal, or do another random act of kindness to show your appreciation for them. Without essential workers, we wouldn’t have essential and non-essential items during this time.
GRAB YOUR FREE PRINTABLE
Since I had several people reach out asking for a printable version of my Essential Workers Thank You Rainbow I decided to turn it into a free printable for y’all. All you need to do is download it and print it at home. Then hang it on a window or door where essential workers can see it.
Thank You Essential Workers Rainbow SVG
I don’t have an SVG available yet, but if you are a Cricut user I did a similar file that is uploaded into Design Space for people to use.

Hi, I'm making mask straps to donate to essential workers so that their ears aren't constantly hurting from the elastic. May I use this to put on the card that I'm adding to it?

Yes, Absolutely. I just ask that nothing is sold with the design on it. :)
