How to Make Edible Playdough
Edible playdough needs just 2 simple ingredients – a can of frosting and powdered sugar. Both ingredients are really cheap and can even be found at your local dollar store. This recipe calls for strawberry frosting, but you can use any frosting flavor of your choosing and if you go with a white frosting you can add food coloring for different colors.
To make the edible play dough you’ll mix 3 cups of powdered sugar and 1 can of frosting together in a bowl. Once it’s mixed together well you can put it onto a cutting board or placemat and knead it until mixed together well. Once the playdough is mixed together the little ones can begin to play with it.
Some fun playdough additions would be sprinkles and cookie cutters.
If your edible play dough crumbles or gets too tough, soften with any type of oil. Discard after playtime is over. While this play dough is “edible” it is not meant to be eaten in large quantities!
