If you’re lost on Online Learning Back to School Supplies I’ve compiled a list on items they’ll need. Don’t forget the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL PRINTABLE.

I know a lot of schools are going to have different school schedules. Currently, Our online school schedule is Tuesday – Friday with live online lessons from 8-11am daily. Mondays are catchup days to make sure all work is completed, so if our kids are done they’ll only have a 4 day school week.

If your school schedule is similar to ours you can use the schedule I made for our family. If your schedule is different then there is a blank one that you can print out and write out your own schedule. You can even upload it into a program like picmonkey and add text to fit your schedule needs.

When COVID-19 first hit I made a daily schedule for our family that was wildly popular and many parents found it helpful. Keeping kids on a schedule can be key to keeping your sanity (and theirs), letting them know what is expected of them throughout the day, and sticking to a routine.

Online Learning Daily Schedule for Kids

This schedule will be similar to our COVID-19 Daily Schedule for Kids, it will just be scheduled around our new online learning school year.

  • 7 am – Wake Up Time: This is their time to eat breakfast, brush their teeth, make their beds, and get ready for the day. Since we’re homeschooling now I am laxer on their morning routine and give them more time to wake up, get ready, and start their day. Studies show that getting dressed for the day can improve your productivity so the kids will be getting dressed and out of their pj’s. Comfy clothes like joggers and leggings are fine.
  • 8-11 am – School Time: They will have live lessons during this time. They’ll be on their laptops in our school area doing their work.
  • 11 am to 12 pm – Snack and Outside Time: This is time for them to take a break, enjoy something to eat, and get outside for some fresh air and activity. It’s also a great time to get their PE ACTIVITIES done.
  • 12 – 1 pm – Free Time: The kids can do whatever they want during this time. Take a nap, play with toys, tablet or TV time, or play video games. 12:30/12:45 I’ll start working on lunch.
  • 1-2 pm – Lunch Time: Lunch is pretty low key in our home. Sandwiches, chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, taquitos, homemade Lunchables, or something else that is easy. This time can also be used where y’all make lunch together and enjoy some new kid-friendly recipes to make.
  • 2-3 pm – Schoolwork: This is time to finish any school work or assignments for the day. If they’re done then they can read a book, work on sight words, do math games, or flash cards. Any age-appropriate learning activities.
  • 3-4 pm – Chores: This is time for them to do their chores. Our kids don’t have a ton of chores each day, but they each have a few that need to be done. Once they’re done they can have free time.
  • 4-5 pm – Creative Time: Do something creative! Paint, Color, a Puzzle, Stem Project/Toy, Legos, or any other crafty type project.
  • 5-6 pm – Free Time: More free time while I cook dinner. They can go out into the backyard or do whatever they want inside the house.
  • 6-7 pm – Dinner: Dinner and Family Time!
  • 7-8 pm – Get Ready for Bed: Shower, Brush Teeth, Story Time, and Relax until bedtime. Use this time to unwind.
  • 8 pm – Bedtime: Goodnight and Sweet Dreams!

When it comes to sticking to this schedule I am not very strict outside of their daily classwork. Some days we won’t stick to it, some days we will, and some days it will be more like a guide or to-do list. Do what works best for your family.
