Hair Bow Holder How To

Sharing is caring!

I found this awesome hair bow holder and knew I had to make one. It was VERY easy and didn’t take long

You’ll Need:

Paint

Picture Frame – Any size you want. I used 8×10

Hot glue gun

Small outdoor hooks

Ribbon

Embelishments

Ruler

Scissors

Pen

(Frame not pictured)

All of the items needed I was able to get at Walmart for good prices. I have enough of everything left over that I can use it all on various other craft projects…

How To:

The first thing you will need to do is screw the hooks into the bottom of the frame. (You can find the hooks in the hardware section. I used small outdoor hooks). Measure along the bottom of the frame. Determine how far apart you want your hooks and make your marks. Screw them in. This was a little time consuming and some of them were a pain to screw in, but you can do it!

Once all of the hooks are screwed in paint your frame. I used spray paint, but you could also use regular paint. Paint the frame and hooks.

Once the frame is dry you will add the ribbon. Turn the frame over and once again measure the back of the frame. Determine how far apart you want your ribbons spaced and place your marks.

Take your ribbon and measure the amount you will need. Cut your strips. (I used 8 strips of ribbon)

For this next step you can use a staple gun or hot glue gun. I went with hot glue since I don’t have a staple gun. Place some hot glue on your pre-measured mark and put one end of the ribbon face down. Press down hard to make sure you have a strong hold. Give this a few seconds to dry and then do the bottom of the strip. Pull tightly. You don’t want your ribbons to be loose, you want them tight. Place another drop of glue and firmly press your ribbon down. Repeat until all strips are done.

Now it’s time to add embelishments! It’s optional…

I went with bright flowers to match the ribbon. These are actually flat buttons.

Before you glue anything down, play around with your embelishments. Once you have a pattern down you like, hot glue your embellishments!

You could use feathers, buttons, flowers… Anything you like!

Now your done! Easy, Right?

Add all the cute little bows, clips, and headbands you have!

Some of my hooks screwed in crooked, Don’t mind them! 😛
