I wanted to clean my Jewelry, but didn’t have those special cleaners and didn’t want to pay a jewelry store to do it so I set out to find a cheap and easy way to do it on my own!
What you’ll need:
Bowl of warm water
Dish Soap – I prefer Dawn
Soft bristle toothbrush
Directions:
Put a squirt of dish soap in the bowl.
Fill bowl with warm water.
Place jewelry in bowl for a few minutes to soak.
Remove jewelry and clean with toothbrush. (Dip the toothbrush into the water/soap and gently scrub.)
I like to have a second bowl of warm water to rinse my jewelry in. I don’t recommend rinsing or washing jewelry over a sink since you could drop the jewelery and potentially lose it down the drain.
Dry off with a soft towel.
Your jewelry should be sparkling and clean!
** You could also use baking soda and water or windex. I haven’t tried these methods since dawn and water work just fine, but i’ve heard they work great.

I've never heard of using Dawn for cleaning jewelry. I will have to try this as it sounds much safer then most ways I've read about.

Wow! I have to share this with my mother! My mother purchases this chemical solution that looks like a jar of Noxzema. I've never felt comfortable with her using this because I know she doesn't wear gloves. The jar smells highly chemically and would probably do some major damage to your clothes. I would feel more comfortable if my mother used this solution instead. Thank you for sharing, I will definitely pass this information along to my mom!
