Walgreens new #BalanceRewards program!

Sharing is caring!

I am so thankful that I am able to be a stay at home mom, but when I stopped working my income went away too. Now that I don’t have an income anymore I try to find ways to save money whenever possible.  Whether it be with a sale, coupon, or a combination of both. I love shopping at Walgreens because they always have great sales that you can combine with store coupons and manufacturer coupons. If you get lucky enough to combine all 3 together and you can usually make out with great savings!

To add to the great savings Walgreens already offers they will be launching a Balance Rewards Program on 9.16.12. With the Balance Rewards program you will be able to earn points for purchases you make. The points can then be redeemed for cash or store credit. If you sign up for the Balance Rewards program before 9/15 you will be entered to win 1 million points. How cool is that??

Signing up for the Balance Rewards program is easy to do. You can sign up from your computer or from the Walgreens app (available in the apple app store and android.) Enter your information and your done! It took me less then a minute to sign up. The best part about the Walgreens app is you can shop right from your phone. No more lugging my toddler to the store while I shop. I can shop from my bed or while I am waiting for her to get out of preschool. The app is very user friendly and easy to use. You can have your items shipped to your door or you can opt for in-store pick-up.

Another great thing about the app is you can view mobile coupons, the weekly ad, the weekly bonus buys, and the monthly walgreens coupon book. I ended up ordering pictures from the mobile app and opted to pick them up in store since I had some coupons I wanted to use as well. Uploading my pictures was very easy. I had the option to print from facebook albums or my camera albums. I tried to use facebook, but I kept getting an error message, so I printed some pics from my phone. Uploading them was fairly quick, checking out was easy, and it said my pictures would be ready in about an hour. Once my pictures were ready I headed to walgreens to pick them up along with an online picture order I placed. While in walgreens I took advantage of some sales they have going on this week. I was able to get dove chocolate bars for $0.34 each (after coupon) and jingo’s crackers for $0.99 each (after coupon), plus I received a $2 register reward for purchasing 2 Suave hair care items.

Picking up my prints was very simple! I just walked up to the counter and gave them my last name.

I am so excited to start earning rewards with the Walgreens app. There are several ways to earn rewards, from walking into the store to making purchases. The app is easy to use and will make shopping at Walgreens so much more convenient.

Make sure to sign up for Walgreens Balance Rewards before 9/15 so you can be entered to win 1 million points and then start shopping so you can earn rewards! You can see more from my shopping trip in my Google+ Story!

You can follow Walgreen on Facebook and Twitter so you can stay update on all their latest news!
