When I was contacted by Seagate to review their Backup Plus I emailed my hubby and asked him if we could use it. I don’t know much about computers, so I leave all the tech type stuff up to him. When he said “Yes”, I jumped at the chance to review it and I am so glad I did! The Backup Plus is an external and portable hard drive that allows you to share and protect all of your precious files and pictures.
It’s very easy to use and after the initial backup it’s very quick! It comes pre-loaded with software that, in addition to automatically backing up your PC, also pulls all the photos you’ve stored on Facebook and Flickr. I primarily use the Back Up plus to store all of the pictures I take. Since I am a mom and blogger I take LOTS of pictures. I generally store them on my laptop, but that isn’t always safe because if I lose my laptop or it crashes, then I lose all of my pictures and trust me, it’s no fun! I’ve had this happen a few times and each time I am heartbroken because there are pictures of my kids and family I’ve lost. With the Backup Plus I can store all my pictures or important files on it and not have to worry about something happening to them.
The Backup Plus is available in 500 GB, 750 GB, and 1 TB storage options with a variety of colors to choose from such as: black, silver, blue, and red. It’s roughly 5″ long, 3″ wide, .6″ deep, weighing in at less than half a pound! Compatible with a PC or Mac.
- Protect your stuff with easy, flexible backups
- Automatically save photos from your social networks
- Share photos and videos to social networks with a click
- Easily increase transfer speeds by upgrading to Thunderbolt™ technology or FireWire® 800
The Backup Plus is available from Seagate’s website or Amazon.com and it’s the perfect gift for the parent who wants to save all of their precious photos and videos!
*I was given product for review purposes. Regardless, all opinions are 100% my own.
