2013 Mitsubishi Lancer

Sharing is caring!

I was given a 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer to test out and review for a few days. Regardless, All opinions are 100% my own!

A while back I got the chance to test out the 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer. When I picked it up I immediately noticed the sporty design and I couldn’t wait to start driving it. I was a little nervous since it has a CVT Transmission (CVT – Continuously Variable Transmission) and I wasn’t to fond of it when I drove the Outlander Sport, BUT with the Lancer I didn’t even notice the transmission difference and I love how the car drove.

2013 Mitsubishi Lancer

If you’ve been to the Bay Area then you know there are lots of bumpy, windy, and hilly roads. The Lancer was able to drive all of them with ease and I never felt the car struggling to keep up and the ride was smooth and hugged the road. Not only did it drive wonderfully, but it gets great gas mileage as well – 26/34 MPG. The car was spacious in the front and back, with 2 adults and 2 kids fitting in comfortably. The sporty design gave the car a nice feel and was a great reminder that family cars don’t have to be plain or boring looking.

Trunk Space

Being a mom trunk space is always a big deal and the Lancer had a generous amount of trunk space. Since I was in California when I got to drive this lovely car I had lots of stuff with me – stroller, totes, and suitcases and everything fit with ease.

Safety

The 2013 Lancer, like every Mitsubishi, comes with a host of world-class safety features, such as seven airbags, anti-lock brakes and Active Stability Control (ASC)—all standard. Plus, its outstanding crash test performance earned it an IIHS “Top Safety Pick” for the fifth consecutive year. So you could say they’re as concerned for your safety as you are.

Extra Features

The Lancer that I got to drive around didn’t have all the bells and whistles I am use to when doing car reviews and I actually liked it. The dashboard was simple and easy to navigate as well as the steering wheel and it was nice to know they still make simple and efficient cars, but don’t fret! Depending on what model you get you can upgrade the features in the Lancer and get navigation, keyless entry, and all that other great stuff!

The 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer is family friendly and affordable! Starting at just $15,995…
