Toddler Approved Craft with Elmer’s Naturals Glue!

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Elmer’s. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Elmer’s has been a glue that I’ve been using since I was a child, so it’s only natural that my kids would use it as well. Their original glue is the best there is, in my opinion, so when I saw that they have a naturals line of glue I figured it couldn’t stand up to the glue I grew up with or could it? The Naturals glue is made of 99% of natural ingredients. The natural glue is made from plants, rapidly renewable resource, and is just as safe and non-toxic as Elmer’s School Glue.  In addition, the bottle is made from 25% post-consumer recycled plastic with a label made from 20% recycled paper.  The label is printed with soy inks and is adhered with a natural rubber adhesive.  The natural glue may vary in color but will go on and dry clear.  Any excess glue can be cleaned with soap and water and can be washed out of clothing.

Now of course we had to put this glue to the test and see if it is just as good as the original glue. Thankfully the toddler loves to do craft projects and she was super excited to play with her new glue.

Spring Hand Print Flowers

What you’ll need

• Construction Paper
• Scissors
• Glue
• Pen or Pencil

Step 1. Pick out your construction paper colors. You’ll need colors for the hand prints/flowers, stems, and background.

Step 2. Once you have your hand print colors picked out. Trace your child’s hand print onto the paper and cut it out. Since the toddler has small hands we were able to fit 4 hand prints onto a standard size piece of construction paper. (repeat until desired amount of hands are created)

Step 3. Cut out your stems. These are just rectangles.

Step 4. Have your child glue the stems onto the construction paper and then glue the hand prints onto the stems.

Step 5. Hang it up and enjoy!

This project was so easy to do and the toddler had so much fun helping cut and glue everything to the paper. This project is perfect for spring, mother’s day, and making cards!

All in All the new glue is great! I’m loving that it’s made of natural products. It goes on clear, is easy to clean up, and sticks really well. It gets two thumbs up in my book!
