Sharing is caring!

This time of year is all about giving to others, helping those around us, and spreading happiness. I always try to help in my community during this time of year and I love seeing others do the same. Last night I got to attend a wonderful event with The Denver Broncos, CenturyLink, and The Denver Rescue Mission. The Denver Broncos are big contributors to The Denver Rescue Mission and last night was their annual holiday party that The Denver Broncos throw for them every year. Delicious food was eaten, gifts were given, cookies were decorated by The Denver Broncos players, cheerleaders and children, and CenturyLink made a huge donation to The Denver Rescue Mission to help upgrade their technology.

Technology is a key role in everyday life. It’s how we communicate, learn, and stay informed, but not everyone is fortunate to have access to tablets, computers, or internet for the things they need – like school work and studying. CenturyLink, a leader in technological innovation and service, knows all about the importance of technology and that’s what they teamed up with The Denver Broncos to provide the power of technology to underserved youth in Denver by donating new computers, laptops, LED monitors, an HD projector and upgraded internet service to The Denver Rescue Mission Youth Center at The Crossing facility.

For most of the night I just sat back and watched the happiness of others. The children at The Denver Rescue Mission were so excited to have faster internet and new computers. The excitement on their faces and squeals of delight for the new upgraded technology was so heartwarming to witness. I’m so thankful I was invited to attend such a heartwarming event where I got to watch the power that a donation provides, hear the giggles of happy children decorating cookies with The Denver Broncos team and watch as excited fans got to meet some of their favorite players.

With this huge donation CenturyLink is giving children the tools they need to learn and grow in today’s world. They’ll have access to faster computers and internet that is needed for schoolwork. It’s giving them the tools they need to be successful with their education, which is so important.

At the end of the evening I even got to meet a few of the Denver Broncos players which was the perfect ending to such a wonderful evening.
