I’ve teamed up with Folgers Coffee to bring you this post.
I’ve shared with y’all that The best part of wakin’ up is Folgers in my cup and Folgers in my cup (and yours) is always a good idea. When Folgers asked me to be an ambassador with them they wanted to know who I share a cup of Folgers with that makes it special. Aside from family, another person I love to share a cup of coffee with is my best friend. We’ve been besties since Freshman year of high school and she’s like my sister. We don’t get to see each other often since we live in different states, but when we do get together we always spend the time catching up and since we’re both moms now, our get togethers are more like play dates.
Long gone are the girls nights out where we chat over fancy drinks and nice dinners. Instead we’re met with playgrounds, coffee, and sticky hand. We both wouldn’t change it, but it’s funny how much life changes when you have kids. Of course we can still have the girls nights out, but they can be a little tricky to coordinate when you have to make sure someone is there to watch the kids. So instead we round up all the kids and let them play while we chat and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Since she’s coming into town again soon, I’m planning our next play date and counting down the days until I get some bestie time in. I’m thinking Iced Coffee (since it’s been unusually warm lately) and chocolate donuts are in order for our morning play date and the bonus for me is that I get to enjoy my morning cup of Folgers with my best friend, while we watch our little ones play. Since Folgers can be conveniently made at home, with their variety of flavors, we won’t have to drag the kids out to a coffee place or wait in any lines. With small kids in tow, it can be a hassle.
For our iced coffee I can whip up a batch of one of their smooth and delicious flavors, chill it, and we can both customize it to our liking with the Folgers Flavors that we prefer. And for the donuts I’ll whip up a batch of baked chocolate donuts with a chocolaty coffee glaze, since there will be kids I can easily swap out the coffee in the glaze with milk, since I know they won’t want the coffee portion. It’s delicious fun for everyone and I get to spend my morning coffee with someone I love dearly.
