Iced Coffee: Blended Iced Mocha

Sharing is caring!

DIY Iced Coffee Recipe

Summer is just around the corner and I’m thrilled. Summer in our home is all about sleeping in, spending time outdoors with the family, relaxing, and indulging a little. We all know that the best part of wakin’ up is Folgers in your cup, but Folgers is also great at various times during the day when you want a delicious cup of coffee. With a more relaxed schedule during the summer morning coffee is moved to late morning coffee and since it’s hot it’s more iced coffee than hot coffee. Iced coffee is super easy to make and you can put it in the fridge the night before, go to bed, and when you wake up your coffee is cold and waiting for you.

With summer comes play dates and mornings on the deck with friends. A glass off iced coffee, conversation, and watching the little ones run through the yard is the perfect morning to me. Depending on my mood is how I’ll liven up my coffee. With iced coffee you can make it in a variety of ways with just cream to vanilla ice cream and so much more. Some yummy ways include Cold brewed coffee, Folgers Iced Cafe flavors, and Cream or how about Cold brew with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, chocolate, and splash of milk? Toss it in the blender for kicked up iced mocha or as I like to call them – Mommy Milkshakes, perfect for those warm summer mornings.

Iced Coffee

For the iced coffee portion you’ll need 2 Carafes (mason jars and pitchers work fine) and a coffee filter. You’ll take 1 cup of ground Folgers coffee and place it in one of the mason jars. Add 4 cups of cold water, mix, and attach lid.

Folgers Iced Coffee

Place in refrigerator for 12-14 hours. Once the coffee is done chilling and brewing you’ll take the coffee filter and place it at the top of the carafe.

Filter Iced Coffee

Pour coffee over the filter to strain out all of the coffee grounds.

If you don’t drink it immediately you can place it back in the fridge until you’re ready to enjoy. Put some ice in a glass, pour in your iced coffee, and figure out how you’re going to enjoy it.

DIY Iced Coffee

With hot summer days on the horizon you can used your iced coffee to make a blended iced mocha. Chilly, refreshing, and the perfect way to indulge on your beloved coffee.
